Mike Maguire

Celebrity Impressionist Mike Maguire has been taking the comedy circuit by storm.

He has already appeared on national television with fellow Irish comedian Des O’Connor. His impressionist act has been earning him rave reviews from his live audiences – a recent gig at the Palace in Manchester had the audience screaming for more.

Mike’s parents come form Ross-Grey in County Tipperary where he has a fan club in the famous White House Pub in the village. The Pub has had visits from the likes of John Wayne, Maureen O’Hara and Robert De Niro.

His act consists of some 75 impressions and includes the likes of Terry Wogan, Bob Geldoff, Trevor Brooking, Barry McGuigan and Rolf Harris, as well as famous soap stars and other sporting personalities.

People who have seen his act describe it as ‘funny non-stop’. He lists Mike Yarwood and Phil Cool as his two favourite impressionists.

Mike has appeared up and down the country’s comedy circuit and at Manchester’s most prestigeous venues, including The Palace, The Buzz, The Frog & Bucket, Willows Variety Club, Oldham Coliseum, Castlefield Carnival, Boddingtons Festival and the Bury Met.

He was also invited to appear in Manchester’s first Irish Festival alongside Ardal O’Hanlon, the 1995 winner of the British newcomer award, who played the role of Fr Dougal McGuire in the cult Channel 4 comedy series, ‘Father Ted’.
